BAGOLINO

Commanded by the Blumone mount, a marvellous monument of the Adamello mountain chain, the territory of Bagolino, also named the Valle del Caffaro, is flown by the homnym river rising from the Passo del Termine (2334 mt), which sloping in the hollow of Gaver gets to the village.
Bagolino - Veduta del PaeseBagolino, formerly srtuctured in the typical upside down “S” shape, develops in the two Osnŕ and Cavril neighbourhoods.
Peculiar characteristic of the place   is the disposition, typical of the medioeval period, with houses of great height, leaning one on the other with very valuable architecural and decorative elements: arcades, subways, small terraces, balconies, wrought iron bars, wall frescos, attics made of wood tiled by terracotta tiles, or rarelly made of slate “scŕe”.
The “piastroi” roads, crossing the whole village are narrow, covered  with cobbled pavin and porphyry, often interrupted, by the many steps leading to the higher part of the village, being dominated by the monumental St. Giorgio cathedral.
Bagolino - Lavorazione del BagossArcades with their characteristic archs, making a singular, quite magic attraction of the village.
Very pretty is via Portici, formerly the maine route whre the trade was made, by then shame, partially inglobed in private houses.
Bagolino is, besides history and culture, even sport and fun in the open air.
The kindness of nature allows the valley to give the tourist lots of leisure: on the  mountains  all around there can be made excursions of different levels of difficulty, from simple walks alongside the gentle slopes, to more difficult routes until the Adamello mountain chain and the possibility to stay overnight in the many mountain refuges.
There are tourists not just during summer, here in Bagolino, in fact, during winter it is possible to practise descent skiing, crossing country  and tourisme skiing, besides the new winter disciplines such as snowboarding and “ciaspole”.
